Tip #32: Framing Your Subject

Frame the shot

An amazing photo can be taken just about anywhere - if you know how to frame it! Look for opportunities to use natural elements like tree's, the inside of a slide, or leading lines to really highlight your subject and frame them in the shot.

Combining this method with things like the Rule of Thirds (from Tip #13!) can create incredibly composed photos and provide interesting perspectives.

What is a leading line?
Leading lines are the use of natural or man-made lines (railroad tracks, fences & rails, bridges, stairs, etc) to lead the viewers eyes towards a specific subject and highlight it.
