Tip #24: Trim and Mute a Video

Getting the perfect portion

Sometimes keeping the camera rolling is the only way to ensure you'll capture ~ the moment ~ you're anticipating. This can mean you end up with a video clip that is longer than you need. When sharing with your family and friends you'll probably want to focus on the moment you meant to capture vs the extra bits of you setting up or rambling on in the background. (Not everything we say candidly at home is meant for the in-law's ears!)

Luckily, you can trim a video down and even mute it right within the iPhone editor. You can save the video as a new clip or override the current video file. Worry not, if you override the exisiting file you can go back and revert back to the orginal clip. See how below!
